Nasim Navid -Why I want to be Pilates Teacher

1 minute

Hey I am Jeanique

Welcome, I am so excited that you stopped by. I love The Classical Pilates Method, and I want to share everything I have learned to inspire your practice.

Meet Nasim Navid, our newest trainee! ❤️✨

Why I Want to Be a Pilates Teacher – through teaching, I want to help others connect with their bodies, move with intention, and build resilience.

💫 I was born and raised in Iran, where my passion for movement began at a very young age. My father, an avid sports enthusiast, always made sure my siblings and I stayed active. From swimming to running, I was constantly on the move. Gymnastics became my first love, and I eventually competed professionally for the national team. By the age of 16, I had to put my gymnastics career on hold to focus on my university studies.

🎓 At university, I studied mathematics, but deep down, I knew it wasn’t the right path for me. My sister encouraged me to return to fitness, and I started practicing Les Mills Body Pump. Unfortunately, during weightlifting, I made a wrong movement that led to a serious disc injury. The pain was unbearable, and doctors advised me to rest completely, with swimming as the only recommended activity. I kept going with the help of painkiller injections, but I knew something had to change.

🌟 That’s when I discovered Pilates. For the first time in years, I felt strong again—without pain. Pilates was transformative for me. It not only healed my body but also renewed my confidence. Inspired by this experience, I decided to take Mat Pilates training. I even opened my own studio, Fit Express, which thrived for four years before the COVID-19 pandemic forced me to close its doors.

🌍 After COVID, I decided to move to Dubai, where I found new opportunities to continue my Pilates journey. After completing my Mat diploma, I craved to learn more. Pilates has so much depth, and I felt a strong need to deepen my knowledge and refine my teaching. That’s why I decided to embark on this second journey through the 12-month Comprehensive Advanced Program.

🧘‍♀️ What I love most about Pilates is how it teaches us to move mindfully. Unlike other forms of exercise where movement is often automatic, Pilates requires you to think about how and why you move. This mental focus clears the mind, reduces stress, and creates a stronger connection between the body and the mind.

🌈 I truly believe our bodies are always speaking to us, and Pilates helps us pause and listen. Through teaching, I want to help others connect with their bodies, move with intention, and build resilience. For me, Pilates is more than just exercise—it’s a way of life that empowers us to become stronger in every sense of the word. 💪✨

Hello there, I hope that you’ve been up to something good. I have had an exciting few weeks. I tried an E-bike in Bali and fell off it (with a minor scratch),😅so no big deal. I have only ridden the Dubai e-bikes on flat surfaces (Dubai spoils us); therefore, I didn’t...
