Pilates foot corrector exercises to improve balance and strengthen your knees and feet

For your well-being, all muscles need to be active and working. Strengthening your feet is part of that too. Joseph Pilates invented Reformer, Chair, foot corrector, and toe corrector with a sole purpose. To strengthen the whole system from the ground up. But if you don’t have the equipment, that’s not a problem. There’re other ways to strengthen there the feet and ankles. You can do standing exercises. And today I’m going to teach you how to release your feet prior to your mat routine. Don’t forget that the feet, like any other muscles in your body, need your attention.

Doing sumo squats, sitting in a namaste position. coming up to standing from a deep squat/or sumo squat position   Tight ankles can also affect your gait and balance.

Last week we spoke about the reason for having pliable but strong feet muscles. Too flexible, and the feet will not support the body’s weight; too rigid will cause other problems like shin splints or lower back pain. Let’s take it one step further. Now it’s time to look at the support of the knees. Once the base (feet) feel strong, it will signal the rest of the body to feel stable and robust. Awareness of the knees means examining the quads, hamstrings, shins, and calves. We will start with the shins and calves first. For today’s video, you will need a thera-band or ankleciser.

Awaken your spine and move more freely, 4 feet strengthening exercises   First thing in the morning, as soon as you slide your feet off the bed and place them on the floor to start moving, they do this propelling movement – heel, arch, toes to get you to the bathroom. You’ve done this action a million times since you learned how to walk but never really thought about it until today. The feet are the most forgotten piece of our body. Yet, they are the foundation of our bodies. So let’s start understanding their role in building a balanced and integrated body.
