Have you ever felt lost in your body during your Pilates practice? If so, today’s class and technique might guide you to reconnect(click here)

I lost my connection to my body in 2018 when my practice took a significant downturn. My best friend, who had been my workout partner for the past twelve months, passed away. Grieving her absence, I struggled to find the mental strength to work out alone.

Whenever something feels off, there’s always a reason.@jeaniquepilates

When I finally mustered the courage to move again, I encountered an unexpected hurdle. The Spine Stretch exercise, once second nature to me, felt inaccessible. Have you ever experienced this in your mat practice or on any equipment? No matter how much I tried, I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. I couldn’t feel my abs contracting as they used to. If you’ve been there or are there now, know it will pass. Everything takes time. Today’s video might help you refresh these skills.

Taking a few classes with a trusted teacher helped me, and it might help you. I was fortunate to attend The Pilates Centre in Boulder, where Amy, Kaile, and Leah guided me through several sessions. They pinpointed what I was doing wrong, and finally, the light bulb went off. This experience taught me the importance of maintaining a neutral spine and pelvis.

If you need to revisit this skill, pay close attention. It might be the missing link to your practice progression. Whenever something feels off, there’s always a reason. By paying attention, you can figure it out. Make this goal part of your lifelong practice, and you will be amazed at what you can achieve.
